The 2005 Retrospective via Emails: A Grand Tour of Europe and Asia
In 2005, I set out on a three-month journey that spanned two continents and multiple countries. This series is a chronological collection of the emails I sent from internet cafes across Europe and Asia. The entries are preserved exactly as they were written, with a few grammatical fixes and the replacement of names with initials. These emails represent the raw essence of a first "Grand Tour" before the era of smartphones and social media. They capture a time when travel required a different kind of presence, and the path ahead was found on paper maps.
